The single-wire earphone / lapel mic set is VOX ready and is aptly sensitive. Once it is connected to a radio with built-in VOX function, and you just need to switch it to VOX mode and it will work as a VOX headset in aptly sensitive manner. Your voice activates the transmission in less than a second. This is a single wire system, with earphone and plug in both ends and the PTT/VOX/lapel mic unit in the middle. With the basic and simple design you don't have to worry having wires jumbled up. Please be reminded that you can turn it to a VOX mic only when connecting to radio models with built-in VOX. Not all the above models have built in VOX function. Please check with your own radio manual to make sure that your radio has the VOX built-in.
